Hello world!
My name is Ryan Milke and I am currently a senior marketing major at the University of Northern Iowa. For my Digital Advertising class we are required to setup a blog and post throughout the semester. This will be my first time blogging and am really excited to share some insights throughout the semester. First things first, let me tell a little bit about myself.
As mentioned above I am a senior at the University of Northern Iowa and will be graduating in May. Currently, I am the Student Assistant for Athletic Marketing at UNI. In this role, I am in charge of creating game day promotions and writing game day scripts to make sure athletic events run smoothly. I have worked for the athletic department now for three years. I have a strong interest in athletics and have the ultimate goal of becoming an athletic director of a major university.
Since I have a strong interest in athletics, I have decided to center my blog around athletics, particularly the many different departments that are a part of UNI Athletics. Each blog I will be looking at a different department. The departments I will be looking at are: Athletic Director, Academic Advising and Compliance, Concessions, Facilities/Operations, Athletic Communications, Panther Scholarship Club/Development, Corporate Sponsorship, Athletic Marketing, Ticketing, Athletic Operations, Business Office, and Equipment. Most of the blogs will include interviews and insights from key decision makers within the athletic department.
I am looking forward to sharing with you a behind the scenes look at UNI Athletics. I am hoping to give a look into an athletic department that many people have never seen. Follow me on this awesome journey!
